SDFC also provides project management, design competition management, owner's representation services and develops performance specifications and design criteria for design/build projects. SFDC provides services to public and private sector organizations, architects and developers throughout the United States who want to design, develop or occupy space in the most cost-effective, flexible and functional manner possible. The vast majority of our engagements are for owner-occupied buildings. More than half of our projects have been completed in association with architectural firms. Services are regularly provided to owners to conduct long-range needs assessments and identify space user or tenant requirements. Services are provided directly to the space users, owners, or to the architects designing the project. Approximately 60% of all completed projects have been for government organizations. Over 70% of the projects we have completed since 1990 are for previous clients.

Our expertise includes a wide variety of building types, including state capitals, embassies, courts, data centers, corporate offices, research laboratories, sports facilities, and convention centers. Our industrial engineering background has afforded us the opportunity to complete a number of high-tech industrial, warehouse, records centers, manufacturing, fleet services, and maintenance yard assignments.
